Congratulations to Ms. Mucha for being named Hickman's 2021-22 Teacher of the Year!
Ms. Mucha returned to Hickman last year as a 2nd Grade ESL Teacher. This year she is serving her grade level team as their Chair and as a member of the Leadership Council serves as co-chair of our Family Engagement Committee. The Hickman Family is glad to celebrate her as this year's Teacher of the Year! We are certainly fortunate that she is back as part of the Hickman Family!
Mrs. Mucha states, "I have spent most of my life in Hermitage, Tennessee. I am married to my husband Brian. We have been married for 20 years. He is an Account Executive with Partners Personnel. We have two amazing children. Our son Will (28) is married to his precious wife, Kathleen. We also have a daughter, Lanie (18).
I attended Middle Tennessee State University where I earned my Bachelor of Social Work in 1995. I later attended Trevecca University and earned my Master of Arts in Teaching. I also attended David Lipscomb University and I was able to add my ELL (English Language Learners) endorsement to my teaching license.
I enjoy reading, teaching, music, and being with family and friends. I also love to travel-especially to the mountains. My favorite place I have visited is Alaska. It is so beautiful!"
